Had a roommate in college who was consistently "in the red" - negative account balance spent on dates with no deal closure. He spent his father's money freely.

And granted, $100 don't get you much these days, but it ain't how much you spend - its what's behind it.

But please, do feel free to drop $500 at "21" on some upper east side frost princess and remain "in the red". Saves the rest of us the trouble and amuses us plenty.

I don't consider myself a tight ass... just good at applying risk and money management principles - to whatever.
