I need a pair of kickass speakers

I have a pair of Martin Logan Motion 4 bookshelf speakers right now, but I need more sound.

Can anyone recommend a decent set of speakers for an audiophile?

- They will be used for listening to music: not hooked up to a TV, home theater, or the like.
- Source of music is usually either a record player or a bluetooth connection to my iPhone.

Do you have other parameters such as price, size of speakers you're looking for, space constraints, do you want a subwoofer as well... etc.

Price: about 1k
Size: Anywhere from bookshelf to about 4 feet high.
Subwoofer: probably not, I live in an apartment, and my neighbors are not entirely happy with me already.

A two-speaker system is fine.

Yeah, the reviews are awesome. Keep in mind that the model I gave you the link for is usually $449 each but if you buy them from Klipsch directly, they are on sale for $324 each, which is a great deal for those speakers.
