I Need a broker

Please, any suggestions for a good direct access broker that

1) Can handle 50,000+ share block trades.
2) Can be reached by phone.
3) Has an adequte short pool in their clearing firm to cover these block trades in large cap issues like INTC, CSCO, TXN, DELL, etc.
4) Financially secure.

I hear from this forum that IB is no good at large trades and locating short stock. Does anyone know someone who is good.

If you want to trade in 50,000 share blocks you need a broker who can actually work these orders for you. Throwing that much size in one trade will hurt. Any of the big name full service firms will fit the bill.

If you are serious about moving that kind of volume, I would hope you are not taking broker suggestions from us!
