Surf - Agreed, but this guy did architect a brilliant algorithm that fooled all of the other "bots" out there...even the really expensive ones used at HFT firms.
This guy's claim to fame will be that his actions FINALLY got authorities to put detection mechanisms in place for spoofers. It's been going on for years, yet exchanges like the CME did nothing significant to detect or prevent it from happening. The only thing they did is force members to sign an agreement not to do it.

Sykes is such a typical market-making scam. Those guys who sell you their secret roulette systems use the same layout and marketing pitch on their site. I wonder how this scam could get so popular that even Bloomberg wrote about it?
