! I Just Missed A Trade.

my bad, want it back? your choice. I will delete this too in that it does not directly contribute to the intent of the thread and just junks the place up. I'll check back and delete this in about 30 min and follow any instruction you decide on.

! I Just Missed A Trade.

Ever take a look at your Chart and realize that you just sat in front of a Screen with a Setup that you Take, with a Trigger that you Take, and a Profit that you Won't Take - because, dummy, ! You Just Missed A Trade.

Well, Tell us about it.

Tell us - The Product, The Timeframe, The Entry Candle Time (After the Trigger Candle)... then anything else you want to admit to.

Ever look back at a Missed Trade that still went on to Produce a Profit according to your Trading Rules, but you did not chase because that is part of your Trading Rules too? Yep, me too.

Maybe, just maybe, by pooling a load of missed trades, others can look in on our mistakes and recycle them by their own devices into Smooth Profity Goodness. Kinda like recycled dates that me or you or some other guy liked just fine. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Maybe some of these Missed Trades will be a heads-up for possible entry on a different timeframe, on a different setup, different system, who knows?

well that didn't take long.

Speak of the devil, ! I Just Missed A Trade.
Here's one now...

Humans tend to notice the missed profitable trades more often than missed losing trades

how many times did you see this set up and not
Took it and turned out to be a loser ? Probably just as equal if not more but most likely you didnt notice because you looked a day or so after and no move took place so you just scrolled to the next thing but when you look after you missed a signal and you notice the stock moved in your favor it surely sticks out

The point is dont feel too bad

but in general psychologically wise uts better to take signals even if you lose than to miss out on a profitable signal because missing a trade thats profitable tends to have a reverberating effect that haunts you constantly while if you lose you get over it because u can always “make up the loss”

I'm missing a trade right now on the MNQ. Long looks good here, but I cannot enter because of the China data coming at 10PM. My rule says, do not enter in the overnight session, because it can be hoary when we have jumped as much as we have over the past 6 weeks on hopes and dreams.

I'm trying to work the Sep contract because it give breathing room on swinging.

P.S. Had to edit my bad time, data comes at 10PM, not 9. :-\

your a day trader?

I missed a perfect long on ES today as i was on the phone with my doctor for a surgery i am going to have to go through soon. It would have been a perfect buy and hold till end of session scenario, however i did manage to get in later as we retested from VWAP and still made a nice profit.

I had multiple reasons to take this position, there was a divergence with NQ. NQ retested it's low of day but failed, at the same time volume was also shifting from and buyers where stepping in. At the time that NQ was testing its earlier lows ES was 13 points up from its low of day, the low of day rejection in NQ and serious volume shit to the buyers side made me wanting to buy as soon as we got back in the overnight range. Unfortunately just before it happened my doctor called me :D.

Edit: this is a one minute chart.

Keep in mind that the intent of this thread is to find out about the missed trade
BEFORE THE TRADER KNOWS IF IT IS PROFITABLE OR NOT. AS SOON AS THEY REALIZE THAT THEY MISSED AN ENTRY TRIGGER.

IF THE TRADER IS SO LATE TO THE PARTY THAT THEY CAN ALREADY TELL THAT IT IS A WINNER OR A LOSER, THEN THIS THREAD IS LIKE HONEYBADGER.

HONEYBADGER DON'T GIVE A SHIT.

ahhh, that felt good.

yeah i have noticed that profitable trades are .....

thank you.
