For scoring, stocks make turns going through 0 to 7 and start their long trends.
They go through 4 to 3 to turn south (Short).
I have a universe I do add and delete with and this gives me a rotating selection to choose from.
During the first two hours of any day you see the volume build before price takes off.
Today you can see two building volumes on the big guns, SUNW and ORCL, each is going opposite directions in their short trem cycles; long and short, respectively.
Hov is a high volume stock today going through 4 to 3. At .71, as a decimal fraction of the 65 day ma of volume, I have one of my stocks (owned) ISIL going through another step up (BO on a long trend base. (check the daily for some DVU's before the BO's).
I have posted on KMX and SAPE earlier this week. They again are at .63 and 1.64 an hour into the am. Usually after each BO they form "inside" pennants and go again. As with pennants, the volume declines until the point is formed and the trend resumes. Inside means the pennant is formed withing the range of the prior BO action. This is "consolidation" in most books.
MM's sort system to get his universe should continually yield candidates for his trading. If you want a shortened version og it to get higher quality stocks that cycle in just a week, use stocktables.com and set the sort for EPS and RS to get a list length of about 75. Sort by % increase in volume and use the list in three parts. The top is stocks which have gone from 0 to 7 (the positive change in price and simultaneously those going from 4 to 3 to begin short half of cycle. Sort into two lists by price delta.
the bottom of the list is the DU stocks getting ready to move from 0 to 7. They are at 0 now and you watch for the volume in the am and then the price BO.
The middle of the list is the 1's. They will become 0's soon.
you can sort weekly to keep things running smoothly.
I carosel (bulk review) the lists as three prtfolios ( I name them 7', 0's and 1's) on clearstation.com using the assessment sheet. I attached the sheet.
you can rank the stock for entry as you wish. just wait for the volume BO.
This approach would upgrade the performance of Mr Market's method by a good amount since it compresses the hold period.
You can increase maoney making further by entering late and leaving early using money velocity x overs.
It is normal to have a good portion (50% for me today) of your stocks to be doing better than 5% in the first two hours.
trading is not getting married to a stock in any way. I do have tenured stocks that have high "rank" See attached assessment.
The rank is a maths calc on the daily % increase the stock does when going from 7 to 6 to 5 to 4 in the long half of the cycle. If you have 30 or so of these you can rotate through them continually.
OT Jessie: can you see the validity of my response to you? Marginal is what is the name of this stuff we read.
