I have lost over half of my net worth/life savings trading forex.

In about 2 months I have lost about $940. I am fully aware that some have lost much more than me. However, it is alot to me. I work for min. wage.

You will just have to work some overtime (or get a second temporary job), 150 hours at min wage should be more than enough to get your money back.

You have a nice tax write off and you learned some lessons. Most traders have blown up an account or two along the way.

Nearly any wealthy person on their death bed would gladly trade every dollar they had to be 18 again. Life is to long to get hung up on losing <$1k.

More bad news for you. You won't get to write off $1000 in capital losses. Instead on your taxes you will note that you had the $1000 loss, but the write off will be in future years, against capital gains (assuming you ever get any).

huh?! Thats not how it works buddy.

you're lucky this lesson happened to you when you're young and only down $900. There are older traders who have blown family savings, loaned money, lost wives/kids, retirement funds, taken their own lives etc.

Remember, he has blown half his life savings of $900! So the other $900 must be going to loaned money, lost wives and kids, etc. Teehee.
