i have about 100 pending orders in and IB crashes

im having problems too, im long ES future and i cant place new orders or exit the position right now

first time ive had this problem with IB since i joined them 5months ago
 
DO NOT download the new TWS 878 released 10/24/07. It freezes up and crashes, I called IB and while they are aware of the issue, they have not issued any advisory, nor have they pulled the new release from their system.
 
I'm using the prev ver and it has the problem with adding symbols. Don't logout, when you log back in you have no symbols at all...

Edit: I don't know if I had any blank pages, I use a front end and rarely look at TWS....

Exact same thing happened to me, Market order long QM, hear the ding, TWS goes belly up, not even sure if I'm in the position or not, didn't even get a chance to get a stop in..

Though I'm not too worried, hopefully I'll get a nice suprise when it comes back up..

i have all kind of weird issues with TWS on all of my computers today.it's freezes,if you try to add a tickers-it may take 15-20 min till it's finally shows. it may never come up on TWS. because of that-even if you have fill or open position-you are unable to control it.some of basket orders are rejected,regardless to how actively stocks is traded. "cannot value this contract at this time". we talk about this issue a hundeds of times..same with API placed orders.if you press on same order from basket window to transmit-works fine. go figure..

all this on top of already sh**y day for me

I called IB... got a recorded message saying they know they F#$% up... and they will fix it by Friday - so please stand by...

i think there was one Hail Mary at the end not sure... :D

At this rate, looks like they won't have it fixed before 4:00. The webtrader works a bit though so anyone with existing positions can check or close out from there.

I was able to close out some impt positions.
