I hate strong trend days

No such thing as a "strong trend day", it's only obvious after the fact. Half the time (or more) "strong trend days" reverse at one point or go flat.

Well, yesterday was. And I'm sure some trend followers profited massively.

But over the last 15 years we've had less than 5 days even remotely similar to what we saw yesterday.

There was simply no significant reversals and all levels were slashed right through like a hot knife in butter with a close near the very low. Just selling, selling and selling. Not your average day in the US equity markets for sure.

After the fact. Look at how many days behave exactly the same up to 13:00, 14:30, 14:00 etc and then reverse.

Everything looks bad if you have no clue what's happening.
Exactly.
Yeras ago, I used to think the same that it wasn't possible to know when a trend is going to start.
I was totally wrong.

It's completely possible to know when a strong trend is going to start.
It's not an exact science, more of an art, still well worth trading.

Conagnum

I am a new guy here starting my journey with futures. Can you please tell me what platform do you use?
i am looking for one showing charts in seconds

Thank you for your help
You didn't ask me but my 2 cents is don't. That is watch seconds if you are just starting your futures journey.

BTW many have them including TradeStation what I use. They (seconds charts) do nothing for me personally.

How do you know its a trend? How do you know its a pullback?

But that's precisely what I was trying to explain SunTrader! :)

All "trending" days and all "reversal" days become obvious at the end of the day.
