I do. No point getting whacked by all those volatilities.
Spoke way too soon. Hardly any volatilities today. I guess all the focus is on the trade talks between US and China now.
I had my days mixed up too, this was just the minutes. I think the only news shaking things right now is Cohen and Manafort.
Something's shaking? We're 10 points off the all time high in SPX...

With Trump tweeting nonstop, everyday is a FOMC day.
When I am not in front of my computer and my systems are on auto pilot, I turn everything off on FOMC days. For me, the chop and then whipsaw generates false signals and statistically I do not do well trading on those days. I have had that rule in place for almost 10 years with no regrets. Plenty of other trading days to work with.
Range bound days can be very profitable as long as the volume exists. The volume usually does not exist so stay out of the slow moving times for sure. If I had something better to do i would. Nothing better to do so staring at the screen is welcome. I figure at least 3 viable trades on a day like today. Be done by noon, est.
