I got a friend

If the story is true (and I am not saying it isn’t) then your friends problem is probably more psychological. He plays loose and fast with monies he made as profits in previous trades within the same session. He needs structure and pragmatic ways to employ profit conservation.

precisely what i am trying to accomplish with him, is fixing that, while getting paid for it

It's the usual invincibility issue. After a streak you'll think you cannot lose and lose focus. Then lose. Simple psychology.

on the point exactly, i felt that way after a big loss, reversed, in the sense of, it cant get worse than what i lost, when the account zeroed out of course :-)

This thread is what we call fake trader pornz

There is no such trader as he describes .

Only a fantasy , by the op , or better yet by the trader he is talking about, who thinks all his losers are accidents , and all his winners are the result of having a 9" wang

Of course, you speak like a god who knows everything that does NOT exist, lolz, i take it your new in the game, you remind me of me in the past, i suggest you stop before i shred your emotions to pieces, and your ego

If it bothers you that much put him on ignore. Instead enjoy his writings, some of which is nonsensical dribble and hyperbole.

ignoring doesnt fix the problem cuz the writers pile in with dribble and hyperbole., just like you did :-) trying to simply request it him to refrain is still the best (first choice)

I got a friend relatively new in trading, 3 years, specializes in penny stocks, seems to have a laser focus, account size 25k, never has a single day loss of more than 2k and never more than 2 days in a row, here is the caveat since three months we been talking.

He has a problem of always giving back his gains, i myself witnessed him on at least 20 occasions make 7-15k per day, only to give it back and go back to his normal gains or 1-2k per day or break even, its never the other way around where he loses a lot of his own capital, its always that he gives back his profits

been thinking of investing with him, ride it on the way up, pull out or request he dont trade any more after large gains, both to make me money and help him see what he isn't able to see, or perhaps control

What you think?

I happened to be your another friend with same issued but i found out i start loosing money after initial hour of market opening . So now a days i am trading with 1/10th of my size during mid market hours and increase my stop loss limit to 2twice so that i can withstand whipsaws during this time of trend reversal or trend confirmation . If you start looking at the trades your friend make you will notice that most of the money he made was during a particular period. Just avoid trading during mid market. IMO
