I fucked it up

Quote from trendlover:

You understand your problem of time yes? So now you have panic with time and final exams. Now you have to put all your (time) and energy to your final exams. Quit your job,(that is not more important than your final exams) Focus only on what has a (time limit), that is your exams. You can have (time) for a job again, but you can not have time for final exams again unless you fail and have to do it all again (and that is more time you have to put in)

Thats your answer right there. Or call your job and tell them you can't come in until finals. Or say your Grandmother died and you have to go to the funeral. Whatever.

I did like you're saying. I worked full time and went to school. Eventually Some of my friends played the system with unreported income you can make tutoring or being a waiter which never made it into their income tax, and therefore wasn't factored into their financial aid.

I do know that since my major was one that has good job prospects, looking back I should have taken way more loans and worked less. Maybe thats what you should do.

But hey...its not the end of the world. Drive and determination trumps high grades every time.

Chit chat form, but here goes:

Don't ever go to school and work full time at the same time. It's a disaster in the making. You take time off for school, great. Then you catch up with school and work, and it's a juggling act. There is not enough time in the day or enough energy. I've got finals next week and, I think the jig is up. I kept an A and B+ average going into the finals, but I am simply overwhelmed this time.

I'm fucked. I'm fucked. I'm fucked. Going long puts on my life.

Next stop: unemployed, mediocre, deadbeatville.

If there is -anyone- out there contemplating working full-time + school, don't do it. Ever. Pick one or the other and live with your choice. Any hackish combination of the two will give you mental problems for quite some time to come.

Aren't you making $175k/year? Why are you wasting your time with school?

Put that time & effort & MONEY into something productive, a business, a venture, an investment, as well as networking.

Yep, but if you read my story, I was in school working for the univ. before I got my job. Then, after getting job, I was about half-way through degree. I got until spring and then it's all over. Decided to finish.

I took off work to focus on finals, but it is still hard as hell.

F^ck you whining this much now hate to be your new employer :)

I'm just panicky since it's before finals.

 <-- me

You know, I swear. I went through 8 semesters of this as an undergrad + another 3 as a grad, and finals week still makes me lose it mentally.

You'd think I'd have gotten used to this by now, over a period of 10 years.
