Today I received a call to come trade at a different prop firm, no capital contribution.
The firm I am at trades for a penny, scalping LU and other high volume, low priced stocks.
The firm I spoke with today offers a different way of trading, based on backtesting and technical analysis. The stocks traded are like msft, ect.
I just got here at my current prop firm, and I'm doing well. I don't have a lot of support, since my managers are mainly just that, and not traders. Hell, my data feed froze 3 times today, and has been doing it every week. There is a lot to be desired.
I just feel a little guilty even leaving the prop firm I'm at though. I'm doing fine...the trading I isn't really that innovative or exciting, but I can see myself making money doing. I'm not sure. I mean, I'm sure the firm that called me today is better...I'm not even sure how they got my number, or for that matter knew my name.
Has anyone else ever felt a little guilty leaving a prop firm that hired you with no capital contribution? If it was my own money, I'd say whatever. But just leaving these guys makes me feel kind of bad inside. (if I wasn't making money, I'd just leave. But I'm doing better every day, and haven't really lost any money since the day I started. ...in fact, i've been making money and making it through the training stage faster than my classmate...hell I'm almost graduated. But then again, I have to ask myself if this is really the kind of trading I want to do. MKsummy seems to make a great living doing it.)
