Put another way, over 50% of voters see themselves as being taken care of by government and do not pay anything significant for those benefits. Why should they care what those who support them have to cough up in taxes?
I think that there were some data here that showed that more than half at least of US taxpayers money went into the military, specially to support militarily US multinationals - aka when in foreign nations, locals do not want a US multinational operating in their countries and start o rebel, the US military comes in to protect its expats and make sure the locals rebellions do not hurt corporate profits. It does cost an awful lot of money to protect multinationals' interests.
It would be nice if you had data on the percentage of where tax payers' money goes to.
We could then really find out where the money goes really, the changes of the money distribution.
