I deleted Windows 10 for a Linux OS - now I want Windows 10 back.

OEM sounds dodgy
It does run slower if not activated I'm pretty sure, but that's it.
Thanks. I couldn't for the life of me think of a reason anyone would use Windows if they have a choice. But yes, I had forgotten Solitaire....
Hate all those Linux crap stuff, I don't really use the OS I use software on the OS so the OS doesn't really bother me, as long as the software works ofcourse.
Still Windows 7 on main trading / work PC, Windows 10 on games PC but not switched that on in 8months I'd guess.
XP on my laptop, only really run VB6 on it and Access and Photoshop so works fine.
Really? I can name you hundreds. Ever tried to set the sleep timer for a hard disk or hard disk raid in Linux? Good luck. There are pages over pages of unresolved issues of that exact kind on many Linux forums. Fair, windows has its fair share of issues but not not so much for the average bum who does not install crap soft, does not watch porn or other stuff that attracts all sorts of stuff onto your hard disk. Did I forget to mention hardly any real productivity software that goes beyond the couch potato level? Windows has it. Linux does not. Tws on Linux? Not straight forward. You only recently got a decent developer ide on Linux (vs core). Sounds like there are tons of arguments to run windows. And there are tons of arguments for Linux for the experienced user for edge cases. For the average folks Linux is a pure plague. Many got lured in and many went back to windows. Of course the avg user here on ET is an absolute IT professional who knows how to handle Linux. Cough cough...

I am sure in no time I get 10 replies of angry Linux users who say they have a windows VM for games. Lol
The hate for Windows in the academic realm is laughable. I used windows for my CIS masters throughout and ran tensorflow GPU, pytorch, R studio, Latex and anything else I needed. Took me about 15 minutes to install a full stack Ai development environment with tensorflow compiled for GPU and avx256, Cuda libraries, gpu driver, and the Nvidia c++ header files. Even seasoned Linux users took 3 times longer to accomplish the same.

Unless the games you want to play are all on Steam. Then you don't need a VM.You get my drift
Sure, how to play fs2020 on Linux? Or any of most modern fps? Are there any releases that run natively on Linux?
