I can't believe what I just did - and it worked!!!

I checked your time

14.27 14.29

Where it jumped to 53.36

Your buying had absolutely nothing to do with the jump,

There were some med buyers coming aloong to the tune of 5000-7,000 shares

filled probably in small lots.

Its probably also had to do with taking out shorts as well.

Your buying had absolutely no effect on the rally. considering you could get OUT , that means there was a buyer on the other side as well as a buyer on the rally.

If you were the only buyer, you would not have an exit as well, but volume should tell you you weren't the only person there :)

I would focus on this.

I also like your focus on volume. I looked at the chart and am not sure what channel you are describing. Could you be more specific?

ugh, i give up. I guess the ET answer is, "I don't know"

Okay, I guess the answer you wanted to hear is that it works everytime and that you've found the holy grail of trading. So here it goes, "yes, just keep buying at the ask and it'll move the market" :D

PS: Just let us know in advance the ticker symbol, so we could all take the other side...I mean, help you out :D

Just kidding, don't take it seriouly. But think about it, if you think you could move the market with your puny little retail account by buying at ask for a couple thousand shares, you need some serious reality check to do, and I mean it in a good way.

What you experienced was just a co-incedence and nothing more.

Happy trading :)

murray and deringer, are you evening paying attention?

I'm not asking about the strategy in relation to my account. I am talking about the strategy as it relates to price action. I said that I don't average down, normally, so I understand your positions. Thank you for your concern.

sheesh, sometimes I feel like a dentist around here....

=================
As it relates to price action;
& net profit,end of day, end of month.

Some mutual funds do fine averaging down, as it relates to price action-end of month;
HOWEVER they get paid huge salary/ bonus on gross assets, not necessarily to price action.

Its hard to stop a train;
with right direction, yes your moves can help/can help move
every raindrop helps a river. Its hard to stop a train.
