I cannot log out

I'm at my friend's house and i logged in to check the forums. Anyway, I click "log out" and it says "all cookies cleared," and then it takes me to a screen where it says "logged in as 1a2b3cppp." In fact, I'm logged out right now but I can still post.

Using IE. I tested with FF and this did not happen.
 
It sounds like a corrupted cookie file, and the only way that'll get fixed it to clear that browser's cookies.
 
Ok so your having problems logging out. Flow these steps, until you
log out successfully. If you are able to log out before you complete
all of them do not continue. Please let me know if you had success.

First Try This
Click on each link in the order presented.
