Intel is in deep trouble. They are getting killed in desktop by AMD. They will soon lose their leadership in servers -- its only a matter of time before people switch to the EPYC chips. The scalable EPYC chips are 80% faster at 40% of the cost not to mention 64 cores vs. 28 cores.
The HEDT market will also be controlled by AMD soon unless they get a successor to the LGA2066 chipset. Even the low end Threadripper 3960X is 60% faster the high end 2066 chip 10980XE.
Intel is still the leader in enterprise I/O. Their SSDs are still the best. They should spin it off before they are effected by the terminal collapse of bad management.
