They can show his dead body, no?
Well, the idea was that doctors would give fake death certificate and the body was cremated....
So they can show his dead ashes, in the wind...
They can show his dead body, no?
I thought anonymity was the whole damn point of these things. If he's smart enough to do what he did legitimately, building a damn exchange... I gotta assume he's one step ahead of the average bear when it comes to laundering some of this money.I doubt he faked his death. The BTC addresses for his cold storage are either known outright or can be traced. Any attempt to spend even a little of those coins will be discovered. He would then be outed as not dead.
If he can't spend them without discovery then what's the point?
So you are saying, THERE IS a chance? Also, if the deceased happens to be found alive, now what odds are we putting on that?
Depending on just how big of an idiot the dead guy was, the chance of recovery isn't zero. So it is perfectly logical for companies betting on recovery and buying up claims...
Not really. Once you expose one of your addresses to someone and they can put your name to it then you're doxxed. Once you're doxxed they can trace your transactions. e.g. a BTC exchange.I thought anonymity was the whole damn point of these things.
