I am up 19.77% YTD and still don't know what my edge is!

Serious post. I have been killing it for many years in a row. Someone on reddit asked very nicely what my edge was. I actually have no clue. I have none whatsoever in the classical or statistical sense.
As I thought very hard about this question (and not wanting to sound like an obnoxious pompous prick) I replied that I thought my edge was simply being very disciplined.

I then mentioned a near monopoly asset with a 2-5x run-rate FCF and 30%+ ROIC that I have just bought.

Waiting very patiently for the right opportunity to arise where the odds of winning outweigh loss by a very big factor.

Does discipline count as an edge?
Interesting thread. Following because I’m struggling to come up with a definable edge.

if you are consistently profitable, you must have something that you are doing over and over again that’s worked for a long time.
It sounds like Capital Structure Arbitrage is your edge, no?

The Axia Volume Profile and Footprint courses would support you in defining and developing a trader's "edge". It's good structured content.

Guys like that are not only annoying. They suck valuable time from you. That’s why I used the ignore button.
Anyway….back to the thread topic, which I’m very interested in…

Glad to hear that..

yes, this is the conundrum. Impossible to draft a powerpoint to raise capital (not that I want to).

Changed my strategy completely from last year...from selling puts to arbitraging bonds.
