Socialism is often a buzz word people use to end debate about whether the government should be involved in something. The truth is that we have a mixed economy just like every other developed nation. The government does some stuff better, the private sector does some stuff better. I understand erring on the side of caution, but it's important to look at the problems both of them create.

This is not modern eugenics. Modern eugenics involves real science. The genes that determines the color of one's skin almost certainly have no effect on things like intelligence, diseases, etc. There might be a correlation as people of different races are more likely to develop different diseases, but it won't mean causation. They're independent genes. It would just mean that people with one gene are more likely to carry another gene, because they come from the same pool of closest ancestors. Modern eugenics is racially blind.
