Asylum seekers apply for asylum. There's possibility some will slip through. However, this is a relatively small issue in my opinion. There's a statute of limitations for sure, but part of being undocumented is we might not be able to tell how long somebody has been here. Some of these people have been here for 30 years plus and have no where to go home. One thing you also have to consider is that many studies have shown that undocumented immigrants have been a net economic benefit to the country. While we don't want to directly encourage a illegal immigration the reality is that they haven't necessarily been bad for society as an aggregate group. In my opinion, aggressively expanding immigration will help slow the increasing average age of the population. Obviously as people start to age they begin to consume more resources than they produce and it's best to have a higher percentage of participants in the labor force.

My position on the Constitution is neither left or right. It falls in the other category as nobody to my knowledge is even discussing the issue. What we need are politicians who don't adhere to strict ideologies. People don't need to be a strict centrist on every issue. In the aggregate you want the centrist idea to be most prevalent. I even say, look, I'm to the far left on the guns issue. My ideal form of gun control is similar to that of Japan. I realize that will never fly here. It's not a majority opinion and I will accept with what I can get. I'll explain why I feel the way I do, but I don't want to enact a law with 20% popularity limiting people's rights, because of my views. One of the things I was most critical of Obama for was he was often too cowardly to stand up for what he really believed in. It was documented back in 1996 he was for gay marriage, but he didn't come out for gay marriage until 2012. I believe he felt he needed the public on his side first and not stating his opinion was pragmatic. I see it as being cowardly and dishonest. He could have taken the approach that I take with guns where he wants to see public opinion on his side before changing the law while still taking his side. In my opinion, all politicians should express their true views and they should be debated. Then the public can decide.
So far I have talked about guns, police reform/black issues, and immigration. Nobody has brought up the economy which is what the majority of centrists actually vote on. The economy swings elections. It's the issue I care most about. In particular I want to maximize the economic productivity of the United States. From my understanding an economy is only as strong as its assets-liabilities and the goods/services it produces. Furthermore its assets are often inflated based on strong production of goods and services, because what good are beautiful skyscrapers if they are located in an economy where nothing further will be created? My tax policies, government spending policies, educational policies, and even wealth redistribution policies will look to maximize the long-term trajectory of our economic output.

Replacing the Constitution is a position on it. I'm 32. I'll be 35 when sworn in for President. Why do you think we need to continue to revolve our society around a 200+ year old document when so much has happened since? We are talking about a document that came out during slavery, pre-Industrial Revolution, and when women were basically seen as property. Society has radically changed since then. I really don't think replacing it with something that better reflects the state of the country in 2022 is that radical.

Hey, the Laffer Curve was written on a napkin and became serious part of economic policy. Why do you assume I don't understand the Constitution? My background isn't in Constitutional Law, but I have read the document and seen plenty of majority opinion/dissent summaries of the major historical cases. Do you honestly believe the document is close to perfect for modern day society? I think if nothing else it's important to question every aspect of it. I would like to see a more objective Constitution for modern day society. Interpretations might become more subjective in time as they have for this one.
My first question since it was noted you have the NY hat, are you a New Yorker, more specifically New York City? If so then you can count me out. Long ago I worked for an airline, and the biggest dumbest, assholes were always the New York City butt wipes. They knew more than anyone, and always told you so. They always gave an attitude even when things were going smoothly. The list goes on, but the reality was always the opposite. They knew nothing and were useless tools annoying everyone else. Big talk with no knowledge of what they were saying, but you had to listen to them because they always said it as loud as possible. You know loud makes it true.
