I'm no sidekick. Never have been. Oddball, yes, but more independent. I do think I'll improve my speaking clarity as the campaign goes on and my responses become more routine. I do think people have grown tired of overly confident polished politicians. I'm hopefully people will be open to somebody who can say "I don't know yet" as a response rather than pretend they have all the answers. That said, just tell everybody you know that I'm running!
Well...I need to gain some traction, become more known. That's the biggest obstacle. I understand you looking at these videos and being like, "this guy can't even speak". There are multiple reasons for this. The remarks are off the cuff. It's not a conversation. I have a lot of thoughts running and I'm sharing them. There's a lot of information I know I don't have. I'm not giving prepared political drivel in these videos. I'm thinking through my ideas. However, if I ever got to debate (which is a really hard point to get to) you would be surprised. Trump in particular would be eviscerated. I can play his game, go alone with the idea that the election was stolen, and still destroy him. One thing you have to understand is that politicians have sold out/lied/cheated in order to get elected and have power. I haven't done any of that. That's a huge moral advantage I can leverage as an outsider.
Andrew Yang is a good comparison. However, I felt he was too polite and there were too many people running. I think fewer people will run in 2024. I'm not going to say I will be voting for a Democrat no matter what in 2024. If I don't get the nom I might run as an Independent. Part of my platform is literally ending political parties. I make clear I'm running as a Democrat, because running in one of the two major parties is the best way to gain traction. The Republican Party has become too much of a cult of personality around Trump. I feel I'm too socially liberal for the Republican Party. I also feel that Biden is more vulnerable right now.
I was charged with reckless driving at 17 for going between 90-100mph in CT. It was cleared from my record. I had another speeding ticket at 19 in NY reduced to a parking ticket. That's the extent of my criminal record. The worst thing I've done to a woman is try speaking to her one more time after she didn't want me to and I regretted doing it. Then I left her alone, hardly needed a restraining order against me lol. There was no physical/sexual harassment. There's a possibility some people will find things I've wrote on the internet and call me a bigot. Maybe I said them jokingly or had a disagreement. I don't know. Point is, there's not much history they will find on me. My trading record is completely legal. I pay all my taxes. I really think whatever opposition research they can come up with will be pretty weak.
