I am massively short the USD.

@destriero Just curious, why the sudden change to a conviction macro position? You've always done well in single name vol, why not just up size there if you are on a roll.

Short banks or long ZN/ZB would work for your thesis, why specifically FX?

I am long equity vol as well but I can't talk about it here (ET).

Jesus, people can't read.

I am essentially short synthetic USDX in spot (other unnamed pos). $1,500 per pip in *USD*... yes, it's denominated in CAD for those of you that did 5th grade twice.

I'm not going to respond to BS. I'll post the eventual stop/cover.
I'm sorry. I'm kind of clueless when you mention short synthetic. I have no idea what that means. You know more than I do. Hope it works out for you.

I have reconciled taking heat on tariff-reduction, but feel I am going to make 7-figures over the next two years short the USD. A de facto short dollar policy will be adopted by the current and successive Administration(s). We must inflate via a weak-dollar inflationary spiral to pay the US debt and buoy US exports in the short term.

I am short 20MM USDCAD from 1.3321 average. Short all majors as well.
Without getting into the plethora of reasons I am bearish on the USD, I wholeheartedly agree with this. I think in the short term we do see a strong dollar, but in the long term macro picture I think the dollar massively weakens.

There you have it ... real deal pro traders that trade currencies have no problem using the spot Fx market over futures, depending on the trade(s).

I like futures, most of my trading is on this market. I will use the spot FX or equities market for certain trades that I can't do with futures. The spot liquidity can execute large size with minimal or no effect on the market.

If it were my money, I doubt I could sleep. DEFINITELY not my cup of tea, don't have the stomach for it.

Now, this is some bold and massive prediction, lol. Given that exchange rates historically are capped and floored (they over and under shot in very few occasions) and looking where USD basket stands, and given you attach no timing to this at all, this turns out to be a brilliant call. Lol
