currently looking at a miners portfolio to invest in for my boys once the miners hit their lows. this i view as a low risk high reward investment over 10-15yrs by which time they will both be in their 30s.

It's very interesting that there are a lot of people here from the IT.

I have an Electrical Engineering degree if that counts. I'm starting to notice the IT trend as well, in another trading chat board.

I swing trade full time, just in my fourth year now. First two and half years were very good, the last six months, well, not so good.
Moving ahead, I've made the adjustments and look foreword to an excellent fourth.
Can't think of anything else I'd rather do.

That's my dream trade for a living, hopefully I get there.

I'm starting a tree farm. Not Christmas trees but trees for landscaping purposes/business parks etc.

That's a great idea. There are a lot of nurseries in my area. I don't think too many grow them to significant size though. Most grow them to the size places like Home Depot and Lowes want as I think they supply quite a few. I've thought about that as a potential idea for a business though, growing them to the size landscapers are looking for to do the bigger projects. I'm sure they sell for decent $$$
