I almost got Covid but made it home by 9:58

Actor Kevin Sorbo is mocking California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) coronavirus curfew that requires residents of most counties to shelter at home between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily starting Saturday.

Gov. Newsom announced the curfew on Thursday as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the state. “Non-essential work and gatherings must stop from 10pm-5am in counties in the purple tier. This will take effect at 10pm on Saturday and remain for 1 month,” the governor tweeted.

Among the counties impacted by the curfew are Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, Santa Cruz, Napa, and Santa Clara. Counties in central California that fall under the purple tier include Kern, Fresno, Kings, and San Luis Obispo.

Kevin Sorbo, who lives in California, mocked Gov. Newsom’s order while also questioning the effectiveness of lockdowns. “I almost got Covid back in august, thankfully I made it back to my house at 9:58 PM, right before the 10 PM curfew,” the Hercules actor tweeted.

Sorbo also questioned the efficacy of government-mandated lockdowns.

The California curfew comes as Gov. Newsom is facing a scandal for attending a party at the exclusive French Laundry restaurant in Napa where guests failed to wear masks or practice social distancing, in direct contradiction of the governor’s own recommendations.

“I made a bad mistake,” the governor said. “Instead of sitting down I should have stood up and walked back and got in my car and drove to my house.”

Gov. Newsom said at the time that the dinner was outside. But photos obtained by FoxLA later showed the guests — which reportedly included members of the California Medical Association — dining and socializing indoors.

You are a fucking idiot. You don't know what you are talking about.

That particular son... realized he did not wish to be locked down at the UC school he was accepted into... so he called up a school in Texas which offered him a chunky academic scholarship to see if the offer was still on the table.
They said yes... and now he loves it there. He has not been in California since August.

My comment back then is that is was and still is ridiculous to shut down schools and deprive kids of important parts of their lives when this is less than the flu for kids. (and you have the hospital space.)

Its still my opinion you all are selfish pricks... who have no idea regarding the damage your pro shut down asses are doing. (when there is hospital space.)

Jem is always gonna retard, he does not grasp the adult view of this. He can't even summon a black hole anymore since he went full Gnus, nobody can be bothered.

This below is a from a lady who is a nurse and has a treatable pre-existing lung problem, probably younger than the Gnus' nurse wife. This was sent to a friend of mine just now, tonight. I removed any identifying info. Well.. you may see something here, under a medical system not actually even that crushed, she would have probably died. Had she not been a nurse she might have gone home and not to another ER.

But hey, Jem's plan to let it run kind of wild, not very wild, just the right amount that magically will happen IN HIS HEAD... He can't grasp the scale of it but there would not have been another ER to go to.

"I was diagnosed on Saturday, the 17th, and had no symptoms besides a weird taste, but my husband at the cough. Called my pulmonologist first thing that Monday and got steroids, and neublizer treatment. I was fine and battling it at home, I mean was miserable, but I was making it. Until the following Thursday, the 22nd. Went to the ER, was diagnosed with bilateral lobe pneumonia, got antibiotics and sent me home. My cough was there. But not awful. The next day, I was worse and coughing up blood. Went to another Er where my pulmonologist was, pneumonia still. Stronger antibiotics and cough syrup, sent home.

Sunday the 25th, was an entirely different level of problems. O2 was dropping just by me walking 10 feet to the restroom, 83%. Struggling to breathe. Not thinking straight. My husband and sister realized something was wrong, especially when I told them about my oxygen levels (I’m a nurse) and I literally laid down and just tried to go to sleep. They made me get up and go to the Er. Back to where pulmonologist is, oxygen sitting at 88% with no o2 on there. They literally told me I was fine and my chest X-ray was great (they never even performed a chest X-ray at that point) finally they did one and said I was fine. Go home. This is normal. Oxygen dropped again to 83% when they moved me out of the bed. They still sent me home and told me no beds were even available.

I told my husband I had an awful feeling and to drive me to another Er. We drove 15-20 mins to another. Where we found out I collapsed lobes, thought I had sepsis I was so sick, and they admitted me and immediately started me on o2. I got progressively worse on Tuesday to the point of I heard them saying If I got any worse, I’d be sent to icu and possibly put on a vent. They kept having to up my oxygen and changing out masks. They would roll me in the bed. And my o2 would drop just by rolling. That day, was a huge blur. I wasn’t making sense to talk to anyone. Everything got better after getting plasma and rounds of the antivirals. I was discharged from the hospital the 30th and had been doing well. But sent home with oxygen as I still struggle to breathe especially with activity.

This past Friday night, I was hurting worse and coughing and was afraid my pneumonia was back.. turns out, part of my lungs still have a partial collapse, and I’ve already started to develop scarring. After fighting all last week to see my pulmonologist, they finally agreed to see me tomorrow after a chest X-ray. I’m so frustrated with the way his hospital did, I’m unsure at this point if I should keep him or what I should do..

I love how idiot lefties don't seem to understand that public policy involves choices and weighing the overall public good.
Its like they can't get that the point of public policy.

They don't seem to understand

We choose to allow people to drive 100 kilometers an hour... even though more people die.

We don't shutdown for flus or ebola... we couldn't even get Obama to close the borders for ebola.

So I make an argument on for those incapable of thinking in systems...

Bugenhagen why don't you show empathy or give consideration to the kids who have committed suicide or thinking about it ... or their parents.

Once again you are pushing nonsense. Obama appropriately restricted travel from countries where Ebola was prevalent. The Obama administration moved very very quickly after the breakout in west Africa to restrict travel. Because of his quick actions very few cases of Ebola reached the U.S. and most of those were health care workers who were stricken in Africa who were medically evacuate to the U.S.

I just read this...
even then you were... gwBe-lying and obfuscating.

did you read your link...

that is not closing the border you moron...

US imposes Ebola travel restrictions on passengers from west Africa

New guidelines will force travellers from affected countries to fly via US airports with screening procedures in place

...

The limited move comes after days of mounting political pressure to introduce outright travel bans on such passengers entering the US, but will instead make sure all recent travellers to Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea are subject to basic tests for fever and face questioning on possible exposure to the disease.

“We are continually evaluating whether additional restrictions or added screening and precautionary measures are necessary to protect the American people and will act accordingly,” added Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson in a statement.

Tell us how many people traveled to the U.S. from China without any health screenings or health measures occurring at U.S. airports after Trump "banned" travel. Let me help -- the number is over 40,000.

and while that sucked your team... and particularly pelosi was out marching in San Francisco calling Trump a xenophobe for it.

Trump and Congress should have kept everyone out... and we should seal our border in California right now..

The lies from his little pisser. They called Trump a xenophobe because he was trying to label it the Chyna virus. Hi Jem, I know you don't have me on ignore.
