There was not one reason to attack Iraq or Afghanistan. They should have attacked Pakistan & Saudi Arabia -- that's where the radicals came from, but I guess Halliburton couldn't make much doing that so they attacked a dying dictatorship instead.

You're half right. We should have attacked Pakistan after we attacked Afghanistan - once they started to harbor Bin Laden. But there was no reason to attack Saudi Arabia then or now.
But the here and now is Ukraine being attacked by the Russian Bear appropriate for current market. Nice diversion - not.

I don't know my history too well, but I tend to agree with you, and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle anyway.
But I think 20 years ago, the world was a different place and public opinion wasn't what it is today. I'm surprised how much global support there is for Ukraine right now. Something like this may not have happened 20 years ago after 9/11.
Going forward, if the invasion is a total bust and Russia has to admit defeat, it will be a very good precedent for China's ambitions with regards to Taiwan. I see this sense of the general public having much more power, fighting against both democratic governments and other forms of government who in no way serve them. A financial revolution will happen when all these fiat currencies crash, and I do see crypto helping to equalize the world. The governments won't be able to fund so much of what they do now, this includes wars, and I think this could give more power back to the people. Obviously the US will suffer a decrease in quality of life, and China will go through a huge revolution of its own when they fight against their government, but I think the days of huge authoritarian governments who start wars are over.
As an OP, you are expected to do extensive research so as to produce a quality write-up.
Europe is importing NG from Russia using pipelines. That involves very heavy investment and long-term commitment.
If Europe were to import NG using ships/trucks, the story would be quite different.
the downside is that operating costs will be relatively high.
Pareto analysis and trend of US imports of oil/NG need to be done.
You need to do a much better job in providing supporting facts / data to
show that the US is a hypocrite
