When provided with facts question the source, start the blamegame and fingerpointing.
Once the former tactic is exhausted revert to the whole range of namecalling: your opponent is gay, homophobic, a Jew, a nazi, a racist, a xenophobe, a proponent of extreme right, a dumb uneducated piece of white trash or whatever filth comes to your mind.
