I am not offering anything, just an observation on AMD puts.

I suspect that you're a Multioption alias, you have the same writing style. I will not respond to your posts anymore.

Today was interesting day for the AMD Dec25 Puts. Volume 17,000 Open Interest at 33,000.

I wonder if the volume was closing up open contracts. Most of the 33,000 contracts where bought in the $0.35 - $0.50 range a couple of weeks ago, today they could have been closed out at par. My guess is that Open Interest drops to the 20,000 range this Friday (Dec 09).

If AMD sells off again on Friday (Dec 09) I can see more of the Dec25 Put contracts being closed. I might even close my position on Dec 09 instead of next Friday.
 
BussinessWeek shows OI=50,733, optionsXpress 33,689. So your assumption that today's 17,044 volume was closings seems correct.
