but in a few months we should be reaching 1250 based on technology and commodity plays.
The recession is basically over. It will take about a year for them to start hiring again, but its over and the market confirms it.
Quote from S2007S:
Recession is "BASICALLY OVER"
Can you explain why its "BASICALLY OVER"?
Just because the markets are up over 35% does not mean a recession is over.
Name at least 5 reasons why the recession is over and ill give you 5+ reasons why we still have a long way to go before the economy sees somewhat of a bottom.
Are you saying that it's a new bull market because the S&P rallied 35%?Quote from MKTrader:
1) The rally is up a little more than 35%.
2) Compare this rally to all the bear market rallies of 2000-2002 and the current bear market (since Oct. 07 peak). Look at both price and time (hint: October and March are usually the pivotal months). The closest thing to this rally is another one that started in mid-March...of 2003. It wasn't a bear market rally.
I realize this takes more effort than spewing third-rate, pseudo-economic drivel about "how it's different this time," but price and time tell the real story.
