Hi Arch, nice to hear from you. Yes, I checked the demo, read the fine-prints and also the very comprehensive information about margin-rules and order-routing.
Did also some "demo-trades" in RT. Good tool for scalpers and those daytraders who like to have the advantages of ultra-fast execution through various ECN's.
Haven't found any significant advantages compared to Cyber.
Besides, their minimum is 25K and they don't offer options yet.
But I decided to stay with Interactive.
I am using TP's swing- and position-trading indicators / strategies in combination with the option tools.
I can apply these strategies with IB better than with GRO - and for much lower cost.
If I would have the need for accessing different ECN's instead of using "best execution" I could do it also with IB. But I have not wot worry about complicated margin-rules, especially concerning overnight-trades, as with GRO or Cyber.
So far, IB is the only direct-access-broker I know of, who is not subject to the rules applied for daytrading-firms.
Qcharts : indeed, had a lot of data-feed problems lately and switched back to QuickenQuotes Live. Although their software is not as good as qcharts, their quote-service is much more reliable. The latest QQL version 2.5 offers also L2 quotes, live Option quotes, a market-scanner and many more features I like. QQL offers now NASDAQ L2 quotes for only $ 9.-/month because they participate in this one year NASDAQ trial.
TP : This thing is getting better and better day by day.
Have setup my german trading website, featuring also TP ( german description )last month.
