HPQ Halted, Why?

Mark is going to join Oracle to head up the SUN division.
SUN will take away 50% of HP's server business in the next 3 years.
Mark will sue HP for wrongful dismissal, HP will pay him $100 million to settle.
The bridesmaid (Ann Livermore) will resign in disgust, because HP does not want her to be the bride, again.
Dell will come back and retake the lead, while HP is in a perpetual search for a leader.
 
All the official explanations are just a smokescreen to let him out even somewhat respectfully, and truth is that he put Ms Luxury Hooker on the expense roll... because only that would be cheeky enough to really kick a man out of his position.

I would be really interested to hear just what it was that Ms Former Pornstar did, that she needed to be paid $5000 for two hours of "work"!

pretty girls get paid a boatload to be "booth babes". If you ever go to some type of convention like this, the girls you're seeing are most likely contracted in, with little to no knowledge of the company. Of course there are exceptions.

At least Hurd is getting $43 million for his troubles. All the shareholders need to thank the Board of Dirs for making sure he at least gets some pocket change to play pocket pool.

i am guessing that more dirt will come out about Hurd and his entertainment habits. the board of directors may know something so they chose to fire Hurd on the spot instead of waiting for the slow and painful for HPQ news leaks, rumors, etc.

i don't know if the board of directors has control of how much pay Hurd gets when fired.
