Probably goes without saying, but never hurts to remind, that cut/pastes from account statements, whether HoCo's or anyone else's, have no probitive value, even aside from Photoshop concerns. Experienced traders have accounts with several brokers, and could well be net long Greeks at one, net short at another -- and able to display an up-money cut/paste at one or the other every week.
rod, your statement is more opinion that proven fact. showing a trader p/l despite having multiple accounts (as i do) still sheds some light many things. i am a cynic also but i don't believe all p/l is photo shopped. regarding atticus p/l...i've seen many of his and i believe him...such a nonsense waste of time for one to alter a p/l imo anyway.
the bottom line hoco did say he would show his DD....my guess it was 60% of account size.
I won't guess, simply because that's what he's after.
I will allow 66 (or another) ETer login to view the PNL. I suppose I don't understand Rodney's point if it's vetted by another, and honestly, I simply don't care beyond letting someone corroborate.
HoCo is challenging me to guess how much he lost? Why guess? Let's assume that HoCo will be unwilling to let anyone here login to his account, therefore any statements are not trustworthy. Any more than stating you can't be bothered because you're going to be in meeting, yet you're coming in and out of ET repeatedly an hour later.
Probably goes without saying, but never hurts to remind, that most individuals, especially someone as straightforward and open as Howard, wouldn't waste his time or reputation being deceitful with a statement that he would allow to be independently checked. Especially seeing that he isn't hiding behind an alias and has openly made it known where he lives.

But Howard is anything but straightforward and open. Have you actually read his posts here and on T2W?
He goes out of his way to obfuscate and avoid awkward questions.
Be be honest I have not read all of the thread.
I've read about 10% of the pages. I do know that his nickname is his real name. I do know that a web search easily finds him. I do know that he has clearly posted his where abouts, including pictures. This is more than can be said for his accusers.
Has he not offered to have his statements personally checked out, or am I mistaken about that?
in a nutshell..howard said he had a better options spread short vol strat..repeatedly he said it was back tested , honed, reviewed, etc etc.
then we had a small 4% selloff. howard in his words was humbled.
without his clear answer, i believe we have a grudging answer already to the efficacy of the VOD option strategy.
the hubris of howard is/was stunning. because of his relentless points on how worthless the critics are further shocks me. i was criticized by mav, atticus, rallymode way back in 2003 and instead of arguing with them, i took their advice to heart. now i will put my p/l against the best of posted here on et... i was humbled and changed for the better..
