how you guys control the emotion

recently I made sizable gains on chinese stock hype, then I feel I know the market, yesterday I shorted PLCE in the opening and lost chunck of it, start to violate my trading rules: do not follow my trading signal and trade based on ignorance , do not realize people love to pick bottom or buy cheap.
 
Having a plan, following the plan and most important of all----believing in the plan are better ways to control emotions because you've anticipated what you're going to do based on what the market does. If you make enough trades, you'll buy tops and sell bottoms. The plan keeps the losses from getting too big.
