As usual, you totally miss the point. She was the one who played the race card. She claimed to have been discriminated against, despite the fact she lived in a wealthy california neighborhood and went to high school in Montreal. American blacks who actually did experience such discrimination resent her trying to appropriate their history. She is the anchor baby child of two immigrants, not the descendant of slaves.
If democrats insist on featuring identity politics, these types of uncomfortable discussions will be increasingly necessary. She is falsely claiming to be representative of American blacks. She has as much credibility on that score as Elizabeth Warren does to represent Native Americans.
If you were black you were discriminated against. No one asked if your parents happen to be Jamaican or Dominican. So claims that some people are more black than others is going to get silly if that is how the Dems supporters are going to play this.
As for her, she was bussed as part of a program to integrate Berkley schools but I don't think her bussing was the same as other parts of the country since he grew up in a middle class neighborhood.
