Hopefully that will never happen. For the most part, when you make a winning trade it's those suckers that are paying you. Rarely are you going to beat a seasoned pro at their own game but you can almost always beat a sucker... jmo

Ther is no other way to be for a contrarian in the markets. You go along with 99.99% of ET traders and they all think alike, allhave the same Mom and Pop and act inunison and cannot decide on their ownfor fear of recrimminatiion. this is the reason why ET can never catch a TOP. tyhe moment one steps forward like volente_00 he gets hammerred to a pulp and with his tail betwidt his legs retreats to reconsider his folly.



Thereis nothing in the world like being comfortable with being alone. then when you have company you really enjoy it becasue its a new dimension but not one that you could not live without!


You fellas will notice that Overnight is thie only ET practitioner who is not scared to stand alone. the rest of you have not seen this trait, but I did from day #1. Besides this he has a terrific sense of humor, this aloine is worth zillions to me.

Actually, I say you should leave wildchild alone. Nothing I say can ever be right with him, and this all started with me not seeing football players kneeling during a pre-season game or something 2 years ago because I was out of the room with the TV. That one single event caused him to hate me forever, and now he does nothing but look through my posts and cannot wait to call me out when I am perceived to be "wrong". So just let him be who he is, and I will be who I am.

And I have been wrong many times! I admit that freely! The latest blunder was when in some thread here I thought the VIX would spike sharply during the two-day slugfest of Powell and GDP contraction this past week. Man, did I get that one wrong! Markets once again fooled me, and through osmosis I am learning that it was because the Fed through Powell indicated they are seriously considering a pause in the nearer future. I was not expecting that.

On the day of the May and June meetings, the markets soared. The next day, the Thursdays after, they sold off even harder than the previous Wed gains.

On this occasion, Jul 27th, I decided to wait-and-see. And it totally did not happen on Thurs the 28th, AFTER the contraction number. Even yesterday it just kept going up! So I got THAT one wrong by trying to follow recent market behavior by NOT buying willy-nilly.

So this makes me nervous now, since everyone is off. The Supreme Court, the Fed, Congress...Everything in the gubment goes into August recess.

Here's another thing I fully did not expect...The lackluster response by the Dow to the rate hike decision. Banks usually benefit the most from that, not Mega-cap growth. But the opposite happened! Growth stocks gains the most, and Dow financials gained the least. Huh wha?!?

Finally I will say this to you margin...Please stop grandstanding in my name and adulating me. I appreciate the rooting on or whatever, but I don't like the idea of a "superfan". You don't need to mention me in every other post and how "I am the backbone" of this site, because that is simply not true.

The only thing I offer that may be unique is my steadfast belief that only the REAL must be shown in a journal, no matter how pretty and ugly it may be, with results that can be verified on one's own charts with timestamps of the trades. Maybe people can learn from that.

I never bashed Roaring Kitty! I admired him for staying in on his trades. It was destriero who bashed Roaring Kitty. That Kitty guy is history now. He made his millions on GME. Why do you keep going back to him?

And PTJ, as I said before, I bash him because he makes all sorts of claims with OPM. He doesn't have the guts to trade his own money. And why should he? He doesn't need to any longer, because he has OPM.

Own your mistakes. I, unlike most people in society, think that people who think boldly and make mistakes are positive. Over 70% of my trades lose money, but the 30% that I hit, make up for that loss then some. I got no problem saying I hosed up. The difference is, I realize early, then get out before it is too painful. GET IT?
