How will either presidential candidate affect stock market?

Today's market was shaprly lower because "investors" were concerned about the outcome of election. Which made me wondering which of the president will affect the stock market in what way and how? Any thoughts on this? Or any indie articles? Thanks!
 
What investors did they talk to? Mom and Pop sitting around the breakfast table? (that's who they usually claim to know what they are thinking and why they are buying or selling.)
