Five months ago, President Trump’s re-election campaign had a huge financial edge over Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s. The Times conducted an extensive review of how the Trump team spent lavishly to show how that advantage evaporated...
----------
Maybe they (RNC) lined their pockets ?
That phrase well paid staff sticks out to me considering I always thought staff people on a political campaign were not pay very well and only the top people had a full time job...everybody else were just interns, part-time and volunteers.
For Example...they spent the following millions and that's not all of it considering they've spent 800 million dollars of the original 1.1 billion dollars:

Anyways, what happen to the rest of the money considering the above numbers does not add up to 800 million dollars ?
Online / Digital ads can't cost that much to represent the remainder dollars ?

...The campaign assembled a big and well-paid staff and housed the team at a cavernous, well-appointed office in the Virginia suburbs...

- 100 million - TV Ads that includes the below money spent on the Superbowl
- 21 million - Extra Legal Costs (Impeachment defense is not cheap)
- 11 million - Two Super Bowl Ads (Better spent had he put the ads in the Stanley Cup. Canada's Grey Cup told them to get lost)
- 6 million - Donor Mementos (I'm not sure what this is)
- 4 million - Into Trump Family Businesses (Extra security ?)
- 1 million - TV ads in D.C. Area (Why ?...he doesn't like D.C.)
- 325k - Scrapped RNC Convention Plans
- 156k - Airplanes to pull Trump Banners (over Nascar...Democratic cities ?)

Anyways, what happen to the rest of the money considering the above numbers does not add up to 800 million dollars ?
