How to view trades placed through IB Gateway

I am using Ninja Trader and IB Gateway to execute automated trades. New to the IB setup. Where can I see executed trades without having to log out of the gateway and into interaactivebrokers.com etc. Is using TWS a better solution? I've been told that the auto-restart feature causes connectivity problems that the gateway doesn't have.

Thank for any advice!
 
I use TWS with ninja. I have had no problems with that setup at all. I set TWS to auto-restart 20 minutes after the stock market closes.

How do you restart without having to go through all the security hoops
 
No security hoops, it auto restarts. I'm setup to only have user name / password protection on my TWS instance. I don't use a security key. I'm not sure if that is a requirement for the daily reset to work. I had the security key login removed a long time ago so the the older software restart techniques like IBController would work properly.

THanks Jetbird, so what is the protocol, do you have to manually log back into Ninja Trader and reopen your workspaces...?
 
Sorry, I may have misinformed you on this. TWS restarts no problem automatically every day. I do have to reconnect to the broker in NinjaTrader when the daily auto-restart occurs. However, when I manually restart TWS, NinjaTrader connects to TWS starts automatically. I use Ninjatrader to manually trade occasionally, and my own software to auto-trade. Something like Macroscheduler https://www.mjtnet.com/ could automate the process of detecting when NinjaTrader is not connected to TWS, and connecting as necessary.
