How to value Bitcoin

Based on krugman25’s post above and this one, I guess it is time to look up the professional Bitcoin marketing piece you posted a while back. Don’t worry, I more than happy to do the breakdown.

How about the hypocrisy of creating, how many?, over a thousand posts in support of cryptocurrencies, including arguments along the same line of thinking that somehow past performance implies future results, yet when pressed with a few questions you guys deflect? At least you have the stones to suggest Google. I’ll add wikipedia.org to that idea for anyone wanting to hear a more complete story behind cryptocurrencies, including its many issues.

Long story short, it is sure looking like the points I’ve brought up against the long term viability of cryptocurrencies are unassailable.

Change my mind.
I'd stay away from crypto if I were you. But let us know if you ever do decide to buy because that's for sure going to be the top signal.

Which other network outside of cryptos can you send $1M of value across the world, any time, any day, and have final settlement in approximately an hour (6 confirmation blocks, most counterparties accept 2 confirmation blocks) for the cost of a few US dollars?

No one can hack this transaction, no one can stop/censor this transaction, no one can reverse this transaction

Compare it to a bank transfer on many of those points :D
XRP can do that in under 4 seconds and for a fraction of the cost of BTC.
Why isn’t XRP worth multiples of BTC?

Not arguing. Asking a serious question as someone trying to learn wtf is going on in crypto

I’m all-in short Bitcoin!

Grin.

For those who may not otherwise know me, when I say “Grin”, it means I’m being mischievous!

Actually, I am long RIOT on a short term reversion to mean play, so my position should benefit if Bitcoin rises. Bitcoin is not too far from a reversion to mean setup itself. Although I don’t believe Bitcoin price can really take another major country banning it right now.

Wake me up when it comes crashing down.

You are hilarious dude. Like heroin junkies who express their amusements among themselves that outsiders have no idea how good speedballs are. Carry on lemming...

Agree with this

The nocoiners like to argue the currency functionality of bitcoin, when clearly bitcoin is not being used as such by Tesla, Microstrategy, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Harvard and Yale endowments, New Zealand pension fund, and so on...

I think some are gaslighting and some are clueless like DiceAreCast

In the OP, I tried to highlight the powerful functionality of this disruptive technology that was started by Bitcoin, but nocoiners will always diminish it to simple-minded arguments that forces the conversation to go down to their level

Nocoiners need to educate themselves to have meaningful conversations about the subject, but Bitcoin is not an easy concept on many levels

Don't hold your breath. So far none of them cared to address anything other than shop their story.

Attempting to characterize those who have justifiable concerns as “Naive” and “No Coiners”, without specifically addressing those concerns is more marketing BS. Bitcoin has unique risks that real investments do not have, as partially discussed in my pervious posts.

You have a consistent pattern of promoting Bitcoin, seemingly well beyond someone merely talking your book, as suggested by the number of industry related articles you’ve posted.

Other than attempting to leverage the psychology of FOMO (Fear of missing out), especially seen in newer, less experienced investors, you care to directly attempt to address my concerns?

After all, answering objections is a fundamental part of sales, right?

The blind leading the blind? How could you possibly advise someone? You participate in an open forum but the only thing you conduct is blatant free shilling. Perhaps you should be forced by @Baron to become a paid advertiser.

I think I understand what you're asking from me, but that is not my job, dude. I'm not your financial advisor and I do not want to be

Please seek a professional for advise and recommendation on bitcoin. Even if you offer to pay me, no, keep your money, I have my own

Anyway, I'm a long only investor in bitcoin and cryptos, if you do not like my message, you're in the wrong place, this is called the Cryptocurrencies forum where these things are supposed to be posted

Listen again, and read it over and over, I do not work for you or any company associated with bitcoin or cryptos companies but I have all our net worth invested in this

See above again, please and seek professional help somewhere else. You sound like someone that needs hand holding and guidance and lacking of any confidence

This is the level of intellect we are dealing with here. Hear people, if you learn that we are dealing with a decentralized investment asset then you would all understand and don't need to ask questions.

This guy is so full of shit and lacks even the most basic articulation abilities.

This is a decentralized investment asset. If you studied bitcoin you would have known that instead of demanding to be spoon fed
