Sounds like a good management tool... encourage one bitchy employee to complain repeatedly and publicly, then take away the bonus plan because it creates too much conflict and contention:
"Sorry folks, there have been allegations that the bonus plan is discriminatory. We take claims of discrimination very seriously at Funco Industries. So, while we investigate this matter, and hire consultants to review our whole compensation structure, the bonus plan is suspended until further notice.
