How to test your sound system

Here's my home stereo system:

Specs:

- 200 Watt Yamaha speakers
- 100 Watt Denon amplifier (it's important to be lower than the speakers so they can take all they get, still I blew my tweeters).

So, to test your sound system, play this melody: Celvin Rotane - Houze Muzique, a very niche, European House music. Will stress your sound system to the max.


If you are not impressed there's one and only one explanation: YOU'RE NOT HEARING IT. Like me, blewing my tweeters, gotta fix that pronto.
 
A note to friends and acquaintances: most important thing that matters in sound is Watts / cubic centimeter.

I learned that in college, almost 20 years ago when I first heard this melody played by a DJ who was testing his speakers in a 9 squared meters students college room. When the bass started, I wanted to get the hell out of the room but good thing I listened to him saying: don't be afraid when blood will start pouring out of your ears now that the tweeters go into place. And the best part, if you can "stomach" it, only comes after.

Funk me, it was the best track I ever listened to in my life and wasn't even drunk or something. But guy had a top of the line stereo system capable of delivering like 200 Watts / square centimeter in every range of a 20 to 40,000 Hz spectrum or so.

It has crossed my mind. But it always seemed like there wasn't enough power in the tweeters, gotta fix that too.
