Exactly!! Only he claims options will give a better return, percent-wise, than futures, yet he also says he knows nothing about futures.

From what I can tell, if the day trade margin requirements for ES are in the 400/500 dollar range, I don't think it's possible. However, if your broker requires 25% of initial, then maybe.
 
High frequency trading of vol is not a thing on the buy-side. Sure, you can get an RMM and write a bot to babysit a bunch of SN and try your luck. You won't make any money.

Yes, vol = leverage, but the spreads and microstructure is why it simply won't work. This has nothing to do with cynicism. Yes, SPX guy is a joke/fraud whatever. I've been in this business more than a week and it's obv to anyone but the rank vol-noob.

Not to say you can't be profitable, but futures would dramatically outperform.

Good luck with it and thx again dest re bear nudge Saturday before last, you nailed it and I'm finally making progress daytrading UVXY like I used to with TVIX. But more size up to 1k+ shares on VIX spikes. :D
