How to short the S&P using options? Day & swing puts

Paper trade - I didn't trade it but the numbers are:

• SPY 434 Put at open $1.30.
• At 3:30pm EST $3.00.

What's the simplest way to short the S&P for day trading and swing trading with options?

I'm assuming buying puts, but I don't know the details of how round trips work. Thx for any tips..

BTW after being ahead on TSLA with these because it was going up so much when got even stopped doing it. Am still looking for a better method, but this is best have found. I am the author of that Seeking Alpha article.

The first diagonal is interesting. However, I would have executed the spread with the underlying on the rightmost to express the bearish view.

Yes if it will drop more much better. Do you know of better way to hedge market with small money and low neg theta or positive theta?
