What alternative universe do you live in, seriously? The US is not a superpower? We can utterly destroy any country or continent in the world at the push of a button and there is not a damn thing anyone else can do about it. That is the definition of a superpower.

That article read like an Onion parody. My favorite part, which pretty much sums up the whole mess:

"Note: “That’s lame” is NOT an okay substitute for “That’s so gay”. All you’re doing there is swapping out anti-LGBTQ language for ableist language by making disabled folks the butt of the joke."

Unsurprisingly, they also sternly cautioned against allowing your kids to use the term "thug" because it suggests that blacks are violent and is demeaning. They didn't mention "hands up, don't shoot" so I guess that is ok.

while the US has really begun to decline (because of citizens like you) we are the most powerful nation on Earth, and the only military opposition in our class is Russia. China is has a long way to go before they're at that level.

We could be much more powerful if we got our spending under control, moved to nuclear for domestic energy production and put up import tariffs.

And if you're defining "power" as military might, you're a bit behind the times. China is perfectly capable of bringing us to our knees without firing a shot.

lol no they most certainly are not. You may think I'm behind the times but the fact is you've gotten ahead of yourself, power is might in some form or another.. always has been and always will be. It is the guys with the armies behind them who make the rules and decisions that effect the world. That is power.

We can bring china to it's knees without firing a shot though, all it takes is tariffs.
