How to purchase when a stock moves fast

Stop limits are for selling.

No Stop limits can be used to buy to open or sell to open. It doesn't have to be a closing trade. We have momentum traders that set the buy stops at new highs.
Here is the order ticket on LS trader to buy 500 shares of AAPL at 210.00, with a limit of 210.25. All that is left is to hit buy.

I was looking at a video about using pre-market data (large gains or losses) to identify interesting stocks and entering when these move beyond identified price levels but here is my question, how do you enter such stocks? These stocks usually move very fast and often in less then a sec after market opening they are already where they will remain for the rest of the day. How do you enter such a stock at the price you want? Posting an order at market price is clearly too risky but then what alternatives exist?

Thanks

The time to be in the trade is before the move, not during the move, especially near the open. Because once you see it, you're most likely going to get a terrible fill with any order type, and you'll just become somebody's lunch. Or breakfast.
