How to make an Atheists head explode.

Question and answer time:

1. Question to the atheist.

Do you believe in God?

Answer of atheist: "No, I don't believe in God."

2. Question to atheist.

Does God exist?

No, God does not exist.

3. Question to atheist.

Then you believe God does not exist?

4. Answer from atheist:

Goddammit, you are a fool. I have no beliefs, God does not exist, and since you can't prove me wrong, it is a fact that God does not exist, therefore it is not a belief.

Quote from stu:

Ooo lookey... two religious fascists now to tell people who don't have belief they have beliefs.

i believe that 'god' has not been rationally defined. therefore, i don't even get to the point of examining the evidence for belief or disbelief. therefore i have no belief. :D

"i believe that 'god' has not been rationally defined."

...another atheist who has beliefs.

i believe i exist .. of course i have beliefs. but evidence based beliefs :D

So you believe you can define what evidence would confirm what it would take for you to believe that your current belief that God does not exist is wrong and that God does actually exist...

Lots of belief going on...that's for sure.

...and how is it exactly that do you know you are not dreaming right now?

"However I will not be held to ransom."

What a friggin wanker drama queen...

Quote from stu:

I'm like yourself I think bigarrow. I choose carefully what I say to people when face to face about anything really , not just religion. I think it's important not to be too opinionated about anything , as one can be on a message board.
I meet people who will voice what I would find as obnoxious sentiments about many things, to do with race, or government, or religion etc., and I generally will try to circumvent or redirect the discussion. Most stuff doesn't bother me. Live and let live.

However I will not be held to ransom. If someone ever wanted me to say or do something not in line with my own ethical standards or moral standings, then I will always decline. For instance I never would do anything with anyone who made belief in any God a condition, nor if invited to give my opinion, shirk from what I have to say about religion. I would never coerce anyone to adopt my opinions, so I expect it's reasonable for people not to force their beliefs onto me.

So many cannot discuss the matter of religion coherently anyway.
jficquette is a case in point. He wants to me to believe that people who have no belief have a belief.
You really can't do much with a mentality like his. He reminds me of those type who everyone quickly edges away from at cocktail parties.

Without a precise definition of the object or thing in question how can you even get to the point of belief or disbelief? :D

ps the rules of evidence and reason are not my rules but THE rules, good reliable rules tested by time for the rational being :D

You want to define precision of that which you don't understand conceptually?

What a dunce...
