I got a document somewhere that says "road to 1 million" which basically has this in it:
* Sell something to 1000 people for $1000
* Sell something to 10000 people for $100
* Sell something to 100000 people for $10
I did the first one, and it was... Surprisingly easy. Difficult to repeat though.
Edit: though if I were to do it again, I'd probably do something like this:
* Sell something to 1000 people for $90/month
* Sell something to 10000 people for $9/month
* Sell something to 100000 people for $1/month
Start with the goals.
What about trading?
Can you make 1000 trades a month that give you a net of $90? That works out to 50 trades a day. Feasible with automation????
Let's try some bullshit idea:
1. After a series of N red candles, if you get a green one that is > some fraction of ATR, buy the close
2. Sell 2 contracts 1 point up.
Looks like it actually makes some money lol.... Ran it against RTY. Slippage, YMMV, etc.

Maybe you can parameterize this for 100 different instruments so now you have 1400 trades that net you $50 each. Or something. The calculation is probably wrong. But... That is my favorite approach to figure out a specific amount of money to make.
What software is the code for ?
