I am not familiar with PDT rules. But Darkhorses "trade smaller" advice seems to make the most sense.
Are the minis exempt from PDT rules?
I always advise newer traders to refrain from trading the first 20 or 30 minutes in the morning if they do not have a real plan. I think it takes that long (at least) to get a "feel" for the market.
Also, the suggestion to "take a walk" is great. After a trade, good or bad, it's a good idea to stretch your legs and unwind your brain.
No coffee...can't hurt. Beer, terribel idea. China white while relaxing you for sure may affect your trading, but at least you won't care (especially if you are dead)
Trade less, trade small, get comfortable. Remember you are learning from your mistakes. Stay positive. Money is about the only replenishable resource in life.
Think about going with a prop firm. You will get more buying power and should get some input and risk management oversight. There is a cost, but you get what you pay for. I have never traded my own funds and I wouldn't. But each to his own.
Good luck.
