How to identify 2% club of succesful traders in ET?

Broad mind is the container needed to fit in a big picture of life or something important in life.

Eagle Vs Crow
Eagles fly high to see the big picture of the landscape and finds its prey at a glance.

Crows fly relatively low and hence has to roam above the landscape a lot more to find its prey.

Having a broad mind is like flying high like an eagle,.

Broad mind is ability to embrace a thousand perspectives about life or something important in life.

For example my threads talk about multitude of perspectives on stock trading. More the perspectives means better the informed decisions.

This is not an answer. This is pseduo-philosphical babble.

Eagles are nearly extinct. There are billions of crows. I'd rather be the animal that has a higher likelihood of survival.

Here's how i define a broad mind - someone who understands how various asset classes move and what would motivate people to trade them. Defining scalping the way you do is not a broad minded definition.

The opening stock price is defined by previous day's news and other potential factors.

But what happens after the market opens is entirely under the control of the traders. That's why day trading is a reality of its own. Here the only tangible thing is the chart. In other words he who understands the day chart better can make better profits, regardless of what the world is thinking or doing.

Of course every rule has some exceptions but exceptions won't make the rule.

Intraday chart is a world by itself. Extraday chart is not, because of gap-ups and gap-downs.

This is "outside the box" thinking.

Eagles are known to be nest robbers of large birds like crows. They will go after a crow's home and eat the eggs, nestlings, or juvenile fledglings when the opportunity presents itself¹. Crows cannot kill eagles, but they can mob, dive-bomb, loud-squawk, and defecate on eagles while flying in the air or perching on tree branches⁴. On the other hand, an eagle can kill a crow in a one-on-one battle by suddenly grabbing the crow with its talons⁴.

Crows are considered to be smarter than eagles in terms of intelligence. They are known to be better at solving puzzles and figuring out how things work¹⁴. Studies have shown that crows make tools and ravens solve puzzles⁵. However, eagles can defeat crows due to their superior flying skills and can spot prey up to two kilometers away thanks to their keen vision¹.

So I conclude eagles bully crows, but crows can defeat eagles using teamwork and their superior intelligence.

And some here thought there was nothing to learn from this thread!:D

People who are not yet ready to perceive trading as a business continue to pursue trading as a technical skill. They look for more knowledge, techniques, secrets, etc

Such people won't find any from my threads, because I am sharing mainly broad aspects of trading.

(From the perspective of "broad mind and big picture", eagle/crow example is classical)

this is not outside the box thinking. This is the majority of the people here hold these views and would not be considered in the 2%.
